Dr. Stump graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Abilene Christian University in 1997 and then with a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) from Hardin-Simmons University in 2002.

Upon graduation with his professional degree in Physical Therapy, he began working for George Erb Physical Therapy, Inc. in Camarillo, CA. Working in an outpatient orthopedic / sports medicine clinic, exercise, physiology, and biomechanics are important to successful rehabilitation, so Dr. Stump completed the certification process to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).

Three years into his career Dr. Stump desired to further his training and knowledge, thus he entered the Doctorate of Science (ScD) in Physical Therapy program at Texas Tech University – he successfully completed the doctoral program in 2010. Additionally, he completed the American Physical Therapy Associations (APTA) Fellowship in Manual Therapy (FAAOMPT) through the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine (IAOM) in July 2013.

Throughout his career, Dr. Stump has rehabilitated patients that have suffered injuries related to repetitive motion injuries (RMI) and cumulative trauma disorders (CTD) due to poor workstation setup and personal work habits. Dr. Stump feels such injuries are preventable, or at least modifiable, through appropriate, individualized ergonomic assessment, workstation adjustment, and employee education and training. To that end,

in 2008, Dr. Stump began ergonomic consulting through his own company. As a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS) and Advanced Office Ergonomic Assessment (AOEAS), Dr. Stump understands both the rehabilitative side of RMIs and CTDs as well as the preventative side. He believes that through the proper individualized workstation assessment, accurate workstation adjustments, and employee training, RMIs and CTDs can be drastically reduced, benefitting both the employer and employee.
